Working experiences

  • Since January 2008 freelance critic and curator of visual arts.
  • May 2001 - December 2007 employed as Curator for Contemporary Art at Obalne galerije Piran (Coastal Galleries Piran).
  • February 2004 - summer 2006 involved at the gallery Galerija Zapor in Koper in position of Art Director and Curator of exhibitions.
  • Since January 2003 regularly published photographs in Slovene newspapers, magazines and other publications.
  • Since 1999 regularly published articles on contemporary visual arts.
  • 1997 - 2001 carrying out of 8 exhibitions of contemporary visual arts organized by Student association.
  • 1998 and 1999 member of organizing collective of two festivals organized by Student association.

  • Continental Breakfast, Outposts 2007, 3rd CEI Venice Forum for Contemporary Art Curators from Central Eastern Europe, Palazzo Zorzi, Venice (7. 6. - 8. 6. 2007) - presentation of a research on autonomous spaces of social and artistic activities in Slovenia, a short version of the text will be published by the end of 2007.
  • Bojana Tomše, Praha/Prague, Transzentrala, Rog Factory - autonomous zone, Ljubljana (17. 5. - 31. 5.2007) - Introduction (bringing-in event) of an author’s photographic book.
  • October 2006  - November 2007 member of Laboratory of world of art (collective project consisting of 7 experts researching possibilities in curatorial practices. The project has included until now meetings, 2 discussion pannels and 2 experimental curatorial events that took place in ŠKUC gallery in Ljubljana/Slovenia, 22. 6. - 26. 6. and Gradska galerija Labin/Croatia, 20. 10 - 15. 11. The project will be concluded by publishing a publication with results of the research).

  • Eugen Vodopivec Borkovsky, Piles of solitude, Marin gallery, Umag/Croatia (June 2005) - curating the exhibition of sculptures and photographs, text published in a catalogue.
  • Since 2002 member of Slovene Association of Art Critics (Ljubljana/Slovenia). One of selectors for the exhibition Figura na koncu stoletja (15. 9. -15. 10. 2006)
